In 2017, The Bloomsbury hotel requested a complete new staff wardrobe to match its renovated interiors by designer Martin Brudnizki. The hotel, located in London’s literary district, is known for its 1920s-inspired style, with popular areas like the Coral Room, Dalloway Terrace, and Dalloway Bar. The aim was to design a practical yet stylish uniform collection that complemented these spaces.

With a staff of over 95, we developed 32 different uniform styles for roles across the hotel.

Standout LOOKS

Doormen and Porters
For the door service, we drew inspiration from traditional English countryside attire. The uniforms included dark tweed coats with shearling collars and warm accessories to match, offering a functional and heritage-inspired look.

Reception and Concierge
We used classic British tailoring in wool and cotton fabrics for the Reception and Concierge teams, reflecting a refined and welcoming atmosphere.

Coral Room
For the Coral Room, we created separate day and evening looks. During the day, staff wore white café jackets, while evening uniforms included velvet smoking jackets for men and dresses for women.

Dalloway Bar and Club
The Dalloway Bar’s uniforms were designed to reflect the feel of a relaxed bar environment. Jackets were left optional, and ties were loosely styled, creating a comfortable atmosphere suitable for late-night service.

The collection was designed to be both practical for staff use and to visually support the hotel’s renovated aesthetic and experience during the reopening and thereafter.
