The Bulgari Hotel London, which sits on the edge of Hyde Park in Knightsbridge, describes itself as a ‘haven of calm’. The 85-room hotel and NO Uniform share the same goal; to tailor the power of fashion to create an unparalleled hospitality experience.
NO Uniform the complete staff wardrobe, from front-of-house to back-of-house, the spa therapists to housekeeping. The design team, led by Oakwell, worked closely with Bulgari’s Design Director, Silvio Ursini, to create a sense of connection to London that also reflected Italian luxury.
“We were inspired by Italy itself,” said Oakwell. “We looked at the elegance and simplicity of what Bulgari was and its place on London’s hotel market.” Unstructured suits gave a relaxed formality to the property – a fashion element if you like. It was a tight capsule collection – a mix and match for different departments. The uniform comprises of structured jackets, soft-tail trousers, and coloured and classic shirts.
