In 2003, we delivered a complete staff wardrobe for Brown’s Hotel in London as part of its reopening after an extensive refurbishment. With over 400 staff and 10 uniform styles, the designs reflected the hotel’s position as the oldest in London, combining traditional elements with modern tailoring.

2003 Wardrobe

For the initial collection, the focus was on classic British elegance. Calm greys and sage greens were used throughout, with modernized short-tail coats for key staff. The bar staff wore traditional white jackets updated with contemporary cuts. Shirts, ties, jackets, and waistcoats were included for women, with feminine cuts designed to flatter and enhance functionality.

Refurbishment Update

Following a soft refurbishment that introduced bold colors, textures, and updated décor, the wardrobe was redesigned to align with the refreshed interiors. A palette of chocolate brown and black with gold trims and buttons was chosen to complement the hotel’s new look, maintaining its refined aesthetic while embracing the updated style.

The wardrobe supported staff across all roles, blending traditional Mayfair sophistication with practical and modern designs.

In 2016, we designed and delivered a full staff wardrobe for Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Puerto Rico. With over 350 staff across multiple departments, the wardrobe was developed to align with the resort’s focus on “barefoot luxury” while being practical for the tropical climate and diverse staff roles.
